What was your background before you joined the CC?
I am the fourth of five children and grew up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan. My post-secondary education was in Computer Aided drafting and design and was able to work in this field with SaskPower immediately after graduation.
In my third year of college, I was moved by the grace of God to attend a retreat in Regina, Saskatchewan, which completely changed my life. I suddenly had a desire for the truth and to pursue a life of prayer and service to God. There was a fire for God burning in my heart leading me to explore the beauty of my faith and eventually begin a discerning a potential call to the priesthood.
What led you to join this community?
When I seriously considered entering the seminary, I found myself being drawn to community life for support and fellowship. The community I was drawn to was the Companions of the Cross and in the fall of 1994 the Society of the Companions of the Cross accepted my application. Seven years later, on June 9th, 2001, I was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Marcel Gervais in Ottawa.
What kind of ministry are you doing now?
I am currently serving as the Pastor of St. Timothy’s Parish in Toronto, ON.
