Lent is a time to prepare to celebrate the great mystery of our salvation.

At the end of Lent we celebrate the last supper, commemorate the death of Jesus, and then it all comes together with a great explosion of Easter celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

Victory over death. There is no better news.Lent is not a time of survival. It is a time of preparation.

How do we prepare for Lent?

  1. Check where we are at. Do an inventory. How do we stand with the Lord right now?
  2. Penance – Positive penance. Give a little extra. Say a pleasant word to someone.
  3. Fasting – God likes fasting. He likes when we do it together.

What a great joy this season of Lent can really be.

    Lenten Resources

To help you in your Lenten journey, we’ve compiled some of our best prayer resources below.

Lent is a time to bring ourselves back to God, reshuffle our priorities and bring them back in line with God. If there is something in our lives that is out of order, the Lord is saying ‘change it’. Now is a good time to do it.

He’s got the power. He’s got the resources. All he wants is our decision, our desire, to put our lives in his order. With that decision made by us, he is ready to supply all the resources.
