Homily begins at 19:11.

The Magi’s journey teaches us four important lessons about the spiritual life.

  1. The quest for finding Jesus is the most important thing ever. Somehow, the Magi realized the importance of the journey. They left their homes and comfort in search of a child they didn’t know anything about, other than he was to be king of the Jews.
  2. Our journey will be difficult and long and the Holy Spirit will come to our aid. The Magi willingly chose a long and difficult journey into the unknown.
  3. Give God your best. The Magi were inspired to bring the finest gifts for this new born king of the Jews.
  4. Encounters with Christ change us. This encounter with Christ changed the Magi.
