All of us are tempted. The enemy is cunning, powerful, and very patient. He finds an opportune time to tempt us when we are vulnerable, tired, lonely, angry, and hungry. We need to be watchful when we are vulnerable.

Here are five things that Jesus did that we can also apply to our lives when we are facing temptation:

  • Pray every day
  • Fast
  • Don’t dialogue with temptation
  • Read scripture – always have the word of God on our lips.
  • Trust in the Lord

In doing these five things we are learning to surrender. When we are surrendered we can face temptation.

When we surrender we will experience the power to say no to sin and yes to God.

IMAGINE...

Imagine priests who can lead parishes to explosive renewal! Liturgies are reverent and enthusiastic. Annointed and powerful preaching fills our churches. Souls are converted. This is Fr. Bob’s vision of the Church Explosively Alive.
