We have a role in reviving the priesthood. A lot of priests are struggling right now.
God’s plan for leadership in the Church is not one of defeat, disillusionment, or burnout. When Jesus gives authority in his Church he does so on a foundation that cannot be moved. When God entrusts someone with leadership his vision for that leadership is that it be firmly established.
Fr. Bob’s vision of an explosively alive church requires revived priests.
What can we do, as lay people, to address the crisis?
Pray:
- Pray for priests who are struggling, worn out, and discouraged.
- Pray for new priests.
- Pray for revival in the priesthood and in the Church.
