Our prayer life has ebbs and flows. Sometime we experience consolation and feel the Lord’s presence. Other times, our prayer can seem dry, dark, and confusing. It is in the darkness and dryness that we experience a deeper form of prayer. These times are beneficial to the soul and it is pleasing to God when we persevere in these time.
The prayer of longing does much for the healing and growth to your soul. Don’t give up when the feelings aren’t there. Don’t freak out and panic.
