When we experience trauma, tragedy, and suffering, where do we bring our questions? To the cross. At the cross we see answers to the question of, “Where is God in the midst of all the suffering?”
He is right in the middle of it.
The cross is a revelation that God is not distant from us in our miseries, trials, tribulations, and suffering. The cross shows us that that there is nothing he will not bear out of love for you. There is nothing in your life that scares God.
Approach the cross with all the burdens you carry and lay them before the one who came to save us. “Jesus come into the specifics of my life? Come and be my healer. Come and deliver me from all that oppresses me.”
