Become a Priest
In January, 1996 I was asked by my diocesan bishop to spend some time in Ottawa with the CC’s – to see how they lived and ministered together. At the time, I was experiencing some disillusionment and frustration in my priestly life. I was searching for a spiritually healthier way to serve as a priest. When I came to my first CC brothers meeting and came to know the brothers over time, I liked what I saw and how it satisfied the spiritual & human needs I have as a priest. In 2001, I applied for (and received) a leave of absence from my home diocese to discern a call to formally join the CC’s.
I have been a member of this Community’s Formation Team, Chaplain at York University in Toronto, Pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Halifax, Vocations & Admissions Director for the Companions, and General Superior of the Companions of the Cross. I currently serve in Itinerant Ministry.

Jesus wants to untie us from old ways, by welcoming Him into our life and laying our lives before Him.
No matter what we are going through, the Lord waits for us to give him permission. Let him in. Have confidence that Jesus is preparing us for a unique mission that only you and I can fulfill by his grace.
How might I allow God to use great suffering to convert and change me? How might the Lord be working in my life to bring about a great good to those whom I am sent?
Humility is not thinking less of ourself. It is thinking of ourself less often.
Have faith, patience, and confidence.
Steps 8 and 9 are action steps I undertake to clean my side of the street and put myself right with self, others and God.
The raising of Lazarus from the dead is the fulfillment of the prophecy and promise of the Holy Spirit.
St. Joseph, how can I prepare the spiritual house of my life for the coming of Christ?
Let’s consecrate ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, and our days to St. Joseph.
God in His patience, providence and power has chosen to save us for Himself. Will I decide to live my life for Him?
