Fr. Pierre Ingram

Fr. Pierre Ingram Portrait

What was your background before you joined the CC?
I grew up in Guelph, Ontario, and belonged to a charismatic prayer group in my teenage years.  I first encountered Fr. Bob Bedard as an inspiring speaker and leading speaker within the Renewal.  The recordings of his talks made a deep impression on me, and I had some of them practically memorized.  I first felt a call to the priesthood around age 14, and visited the new community that was gathering around Fr. Bob in 1986 and 1987. After finishing high school, however, I decided to pursue my vocation over in France, which is where my mother was from.  The following year I entered the seminary in Avignon.  However, after two years there, studying philosophy and theology, and one year of compulsory military service, I felt unsettled and unsure that the Lord wanted me to remain a diocesan seminarian.

What led you to join this community?
I made a phone call to Fr. Bob, who warmly invited me to "come home" and join the Companions of the Cross.  I moved in with the community in 1990, and was ordained in 1995.

What kind of ministry are you doing now?
I currently serve as the Director of Formation.
