Jesus is moved to the depths of his being as he watches a suffering people. What is his answer to that?
He works miracles, signs, wonders, and he heals people. He also calls men to himself to share in his ministry. Fr. Dan, you are stepping into that tradition. Jesus, in his compassion, calls men to himself to live in radical service to the world.
Regardless of your vocation, you are called to live as a gift to a sick and suffering world. All of us are called to live as a gift because we are God’s compassionate response to a suffering world.
A vocation is a radical and generous response to God who so generously loved me first. Our vocation is meant to be the context in which we live a generous response to God for the love that he has first shown us.
All of us are called to be witness to the living Jesus.
