Giving financially is part of what it means to be a disciple of God. Our relationship wth money directly impacts our relationship with God.
Fear often gets in the way of our generosity. Our fears can turn us in on ourselves and we can have a scarcity mindset.
St. Peter encourages us to live in a holy, reverent fear of God. What does it mean to live in holy reverent fear?
- Know that you are a beloved son/daughter of God. God loves you.
- In response to his love for us, we want our conduct to align with his greatness.
Holy fear leads to trust. Unholy fear leads to terror.
Pray and give financially – these are the two ways that we can worship God.
