Sometimes we can disqualify ourselves from what God wants to do in us and through us because it seems impossible. We can look at someone like St. Teresa of Calcutta and think that what she did is impossible for us.
“We put limits on what God can do in us, through us, and for us.”
The Gospel message has the power to transform us to do what we thought was impossible. The gospel is not just information; it is transformation. It is not just historical fact; it is a reality that has the power to transform human life.
You bear in yourself the image of God. You already posses in yourself the image of the one you are being transformed into. But, first we have to die. We have to surrender whatever it is in our lives that is preventing us from being what God wants us to be.
What is preventing us from surrendering, and trusting in the message and the power of the Gospel to live transformed lives and do the impossible.
Homily begins at 21:20.
