Are you where you are supposed to be?

How do I get from where I am not to the person I want to be?

St. Paul is saying that if you want to move from this old person to living in your new self, the person God created you to be, set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:1)

What you pay attention to determines your direction.

Stop doing the things that are preventing you from being the person God created you to be. Stop one of those things this week.

Start feeding the new self with 1% of your day, 15 minutes.

“Take 10 minutes in the morning, sit down in silence, visualize the moments of your coming day, and picture the person you want to be. Picture the person God created you to be. Ask him for the grace to be that person. At the end of the day, spend five minutes and ask, ‘Did I get to the place that I wanted to be?’ If yes, thank the Lord. If not, ask the Lord where you went wrong and give me the grace to do better tomorrow.”

Who are you feeding? With everything that we think, speak, or look at we are either feeding the old self, or the new self.

Giving 1% of the day to God can help you become the person God created you to be. Step by step, you can shape who you become. You can become the person God created you to be and he can bring you to the place you were always meant to be.
