Three keys to growing in the spiritual life:
Welcome Jesus into any darkness that we are experiencing or going through. Jesus is not afraid of the dark. He is the light that dispels the darkness.
The Jesse Tree is an artistic representation of all the ancestors of Jesus who descended from Jesse, the father of David. Jesus was born into a family, like you and me.
One saint who persevered was St. Mark Ji. He struggled with addiction to opium for 30 years. He never gave up on the mercy and the help of God.
What do you do when you encounter difficulties, set backs, barriers, or opposition? Are you tempted to give up?
I want to be the pencil, not the hand.
Will I plan to encounter Jesus in the sacrament of confession this Advent?
God does hear our cries and requests. Do I trust that how he answers is ultimately for our good?
