Become a Priest
Abraham was introduced to a deeper life of faith through the youth group at St Timothy’s parish, Toronto, at the age of twelve. What began as an invitation to participate in parish activities soon became the turning point of his life, leading him to a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith, regular participation in the sacraments, and the guidance of faithful mentors who helped shape his spiritual journey.Through his involvement in the parish, Abraham became an altar server, attended Mass faithfully, and developed a growing desire to follow the Lord more closely. During his youth, he attended the final Toronto Steubenville Conference, where, while prayer was offered for young men discerning the priesthood, he experienced a profound sense of peace and a deep invitation from the Holy Spirit to entrust his life to God’s will. From that moment, the call to the priesthood has remained a constant presence, becoming clearer and stronger over time.
At the age of fifteen, Abraham began formally discerning this vocation by contacting the Vocations Director of the Companions of the Cross and entering into spiritual direction, a relationship that continues to support his discernment today. Having grown up at St. Timothy’s Parish, he has been deeply inspired by its vibrant life in the Holy Spirit, commitment to evangelization, and strong sense of fraternity expressed through communal prayer and mutual support.
Abraham believes the Lord is calling him to serve as a priest with the Companions of the Cross and is committed to dedicating his life to proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the sacraments, and leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
