Collin Gallimore
second Year Applicant
Become a Priest

My name is Collin Gallimore, a 22-year-old cradle Catholic from Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. I come from a close-knit family of four. The call to the priesthood has been on my heart for as long as I can remember. During my sophomore year of college, I felt the Lord asking me to take this call seriously. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in Spring 2023 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish. Currently, I work as a video contractor through a media firm I co-founded, focusing on visual marketing for an international pregnancy resource organization called Let Them Live.
My parents have always been strong in their faith, maintaining a weekly Eucharistic Adoration hour since before I was born. My earliest thoughts of the priesthood came from those quiet moments in the chapel. My mother played a significant role in nurturing my vocation, arranging meetings with various priests and religious figures throughout my life, including Fr. Mark Goring, a Companions of the Cross priest.
During high school, I became heavily involved in parish life, leading youth ministry, participating in a praise band, and serving on the Diocesan Youth Advisory Council. This involvement continued into college, where I led a growing Catholic campus ministry. My discernment deepened as I encountered challenges at home, including my parents’ divorce and my mother’s chronic illness.
At the 2023 SEEK conference, I felt drawn to the Companions of the Cross for their charismatic spirituality, strong communal life, and openness to the Holy Spirit. My experiences with them resonated deeply with my own vision for renewing the Church, particularly in reaching out to youth, the poor, and alienated Catholics. As I continue to discern, I trust that the Lord is guiding me one step at a time.
