Are you a procrastinator?

There are serious consequences to procrastination. Spiritual procrastination is dangerous!

When it comes to the most important relationship of all, we can keep procrastinating and do all kinds of other things; but, there is a time limit. At a certain point the clock will run out.

“I think we need to decide today, What are we going to do? We need to stop procrastinating and start living, start investing in this relationship with God.”

If you don't know what to do the best way to get something done is to begin. To start, take that first step.

A few things that you might consider, areas of your spiritual life, where you may have been procrastinating.

  1. Dealing with sin. It is so easy to say, ‘I'm just going to put that off and deal with that sin later.’ Do not procrastinate when it comes to sin. Be quick to repent and turn away from sin.
  2. Developing a daily habit of prayer. You hear people say, “The best thing that have ever done is giving my life to Jesus. The second best thing I have ever done is beginning my day with prayer.”
  3. Your parish - What is your relationship to your parish. Catholicism is not a spectator sport. It is not enough to come and sit in a pew. There are all kinds of ways to get involved and try.
